Using ChargeAlong

ChargeAlong is a free directory of electric vehicle charging sites. You can read it without an account. By using it you agree to these terms.

Charging site details come from public sources and from other drivers. They can be wrong or out of date, so check with the operator before you rely on a charger, a price or opening hours. ChargeAlong is not affiliated with any charging network and is not responsible for a charger that does not work.

What you post

When you say whether a site worked, rate it or comment, you keep ownership of it. You give ChargeAlong a worldwide, free, lasting licence to show it on the site and to keep it while it helps other drivers.

Photos are different: when you make an account you agree that photos you add are licensed to everyone under CC BY 4.0, credited to a ChargeAlong contributor. The copyright notice explains it. Add only photos you took.

Reviews appear under a pseudonym. Please do not put your real name, or anyone else's, in a comment.

What is not allowed

In short, and in full in the acceptable use policy:

• No links, web addresses or email addresses. Posts with them are refused.
• Nothing abusive, hateful, threatening or sexual, and no personal attacks.
• Nothing untrue: say what happened when you were there.
• No advertising, and no posting on behalf of a charging network about its own or a rival's sites.
• No personal details of anyone, and no photos where faces or number plates can be read.
• No scripts or automated posting, and no attempts to get around the limits.

Moderation

Anyone can report a comment. A comment with three reports from different people is hidden until we look at it. Photos are checked before they are shown. We can hide or delete anything that breaks these terms, and limit or block posting from anyone who keeps doing so.

Your account

Adding photos needs an account, which is just an email address and a code we send to it. There is no password. You can delete your account at any time from your account page, and that deletes your photos and reviews with it.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top says when they last changed. How we handle personal information is in the privacy notice.
